T11 Home Page

This is the WWW home page for Technical Committee T11, which is the committee within INCITS responsible for Fibre Channel Interfaces. T11 (previously known as X3T9.3) has been producing interface standards for high-performance and mass storage applications since the 1970s.

This is a "working" web page that contains the committee document register, membership and project information etc. It is NOT a source for product and tutorial information on Fibre Channel - please see the Fibre Channel Industry Association web site (http://www.fibrechannel.org) for such information.

T11's program of work includes one current and four complete standards development projects:

CURRENT COMPLETE
  • Fibre Channel (FC);
  • High-Performance Parallel Interface (HIPPI);
  • Intelligent Peripheral Interface (IPI);
  • Single-Byte Command Code Sets Connection (SBCON)
  • Storage (Network) Management (SM).

The above links will lead you to detailed descriptions of the standards projects within T11. If you are interested in "Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE)", please see here.

T11 completed a reorganization in 1998 which involved the creation of formal subcommittees, or Task Groups, each with different officers and a program of work. In addition to the TC T11 itself, there are Task Groups (TGs) called:

The above links will lead you to the latest minutes, agendas, membership etc. for the TC and associated TGs.

T11 meets bimonthly, in varying locations. When T11 meets there is typically a full week of meetings, including Plenary meetings of T11 and each of the TGs and a number of ad hoc working meetings. Details of future T11 meeting weeks are available.

More administrative details on the T11 committee itself are also available, including details of how voting membership in T11 can be obtained, and how to obtain a cd mailing of T11 documents. Help on how to use this web site, and a site-wide search facility are also available.

The T11 server hosts a mirror of the web & FTP sites of Technical Committee T10, whose program of work includes all SCSI standards including the mappings of SCSI to FC
